Jun 19, 2019  Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank: Hours, Address, Count Basie Theatre Reviews: 4.5/5. United States. It has been quite sometime since my last visit to the Count Basie Theater. Many positive improvements have taken place. Has anyone gone over to the Jovi Soul Kitchen and had a meal or made a donation for someone to have a meal? April 2, 2016. Every effort is made to ensure that concerts are not canceled due to inclement weather. As a touring ensemble, our general rule is if the Orchestra can get to a theater, the concert goes on. If the orchestra cannot get to the theater, the concert will be postponed or canceled, and our staff will attempt to reach every ticketholder by phone. The Count Basie Center for the Arts is a landmarked performing arts center in Red Bank, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The core structure opened as the Carlton Theater in 1926, became the Monmouth Arts Center in 1973, then was renamed to the Count Basie Theatre in 1984 to honor jazz great and Red Bank native William 'Count' Basie.

Artistic Director Dr. Ryan James Brandau will lead the 2015-16 season of the award-winning Monmouth Civic Chorus, featuring traditional Christmas favorites in December and classical gems in March and May. Subscribers are guaranteed the best seats and best prices for all three concerts.

The sounds of Christmas will fill the air when the chorus and orchestra premiere a new Christmas Suite by Dr. Brandau, with his own arrangements of holiday favorites. Classical selections from Handel’s beloved Messiah and Bach’s magnificent Mass in B Minor will round out the program. The concert, titled Joy to the World, is on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at the historic Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank. For regular seating: $30 adult, $27 senior, $25 group, $5 student.

Dr. Brandau has chosen the transcendent acoustics of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 101 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch, for a superb concert titled Passions, with meditations on Lent from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
