Battlefront 2 Assault Weapons

14 things that would make Battlefront 2 better (mainly HvV) Welcome to Reddit. Discussion Complete Review - Assault Class Weapons (self.BattlefrontTWO) submitted 1 year ago by blobimus. Hey everyone, blob here - I hope we are all enjoying the game (I know I certainly am)! Having now unlocked pretty much everything I care about for the.

Following the mixed reception of the series' first entry under Electronic Arts, Star Wars Battlefront 2 delivers some significant changes upon its 2015 predecessor. Shifting towards a more balanced approach to gameplay under the hood, attempts have been made to rework the core multiplayer mechanics, while introducing a slew of new content.

As part of the revamp, the Star Cards system, one of the main forms of progression in the first Star Wars Battlefront, has seen some drastic changes. We've broken down all the Star Card improvements coming this fall, alongside a list of all cards currently available for the game's main four classes.

What are 'Star Cards?'

Star Cards determine both your abilities and equipment in multiplayer matches.

In short, Star Cards determine both your abilities and equipment in multiplayer matches. A limited range of cards is available between each of the four in-game classes, special classes, vehicles, and heroes. Star Cards are also another aspect of progression in the Star Wars Battlefront series and act as abilities to upgrade throughout your multiplayer career.

Unlike the first game, they are also now a much more dynamic component of gameplay and swappable between multiplayer matches. The choice of cards you make can hugely affect your strengths as a player and should be built up around your current play style.

How have Star Cards changed in Battlefront 2?

While Star Cards have made a return for Battlefront 2, they're now a much more prominent component of the multiplayer sandbox. Following changes to multiplayer for a more competitive experience, this is also reflected in tweaks to the loadout system.

The introduction of four classes is one of the biggest changes to the flow of gameplay and now extends to the usage and balancing of abilities. How Star Cards are equipped is now dependent on both class and their placement in three Star Card slots. While this imposes restrictions on player abilities, roles on the battlefield are now more clearly defined.

Star Cards are grouped into two classes - Boost cards and Ability cards. Boost cards add various enhancements to your multiplayer character, while Ability cards add new equipment and tools to use on the field. Cards also come in four ranks of rarity, which impact their power on the field. As the rarity of a Star Card grows, a single attribute incrementally increases, making for a more effective ability or piece of equipment. This ultimately creates four variants of each Star Card – common, uncommon, rare and epic. These cards will be obtained via unlockable randomized crates, or via an in-game currency named 'Crafting Parts.'

Changes to the Star Card system aim to deliver further balancing, however, associated monetization routes and loot crates have been criticized over recent months. Make sure to read up on our thoughts on the fiasco and what this means for the game's multiplayer experience.

For anything else relating to Star Wars Battlefront 2, including how to dominate in the campaign as Iden Versio, including the best weapons and Star Card loadouts you could possibly want to use, head on over to our Star Wars Battlefront 2 guides walkthrough hub.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Best Weapons Guide

At the outset of Star Wars Battlefront 2, you'll be handed the base weapon for the Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist classes. For Assault this is a blaster rifle, Heavy class gets a heavy blaster, Officer gets a pistol, and the Specialist class gets a sniper rifle. From here, you can unlock three more weapons for each class, but they'll each take you a while to unlock.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Best Assault Build

Just below, we've listed the unlockable weapons for the Heavy class as an example, as well as the requirements you have to meet in order to unlock each weapon:

  • DC-15LE - Complete Milestone 50 Heavy kills
  • FWMB-10K - Complete Milestone 200 Heavy kills
  • TL-50 - Complete Milestone 500 Heavy kills

This is the same for the Assault, Officer, and Specialist classes, as although you'll unlock three different weapons for each class, they'll all be unlocked once you've met the 50, 200, and 500 kill Milestones with each class. This is quite a lengthy process, so you're going to have to put some serious time into Star Wars Battlefront 2 (or just be really good at the game), if you want to unlock the arguably better weapons.

Now that we've detailed how the weapon unlock system works for all four classes in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 multiplayer, we'll be running through the best overall weapons in the game.

CR-2 - Battlefront 2 Assault Weapon

The weapon that could well be the best overall in Star Wars Battlefront 2, let alone for the Assault class, the CR-2 will take you a while to unlock at the 200 kills Milestone, but it's fully worth the time investment.

What the CR-2 lacks in the range and damage rating, it more than makes up for in rate of fire and cooling power. Especially when equipped with a stock to boost range, the CR-2 is basically unstoppable at close or medium range, especially when used in fairly closed off areas of maps.

TL-50 - Battlefront 2 Heavy Weapon

There's a good reason that this Heavy weapon is locked behind the final, 500 kills Milestone for the Heavy class. It boasts one of the best fire rate attributes in Star Wars Battlefront 2, all while backing this up with decent cooling power, range, and damage stats.

On top of this, the TL-50 has a nice alternate fire mode, used by pressing down the left trigger, that fires a concussive blast that stuns enemies caught in the blast. This is a great tactic to use when either assaulting or defending a point against a group of enemy troopers.

SE-44C - Battlefront 2 Officer Weapon

Again, we've had to go with the very final weapon in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Officer class unlock list, as although it'll take you a mammoth 500 kills with the Officer class in order to unlock, it's worth the time investment.

The SE-44C is a fully automatic blaster pistol, meaning that it's basically like holding an assault rifle-caliber weapon in just one hand. All the weapons stats are basically even at halfway along the stat chart, meaning it's not lacking in range, damage, cooling power, or rate of fire.

A280-CFE - Battlefront 2 Specialist Weapon

Rounding out the class weapons with the Specialist sniping class, the A280-CFE is undoubtedly the best sniper rifle to use in virtually any situation, when taking into account its rate of fire, range, and cooling power statistics.

Battlefront 2 Assault Class Weapons

The A280-CFE is a solid weapon for taking out enemy players at any range, and it can even be used fairly close up in some situations, for example if you need to defend a point on the map, due to its semi automatic rate of fire.

This brings a close to our Star Wars Battlefront 2 best weapons guide, and now that we've highlighted the very best weapons you should be gunning for in the multiplayer side of the game, all you have to do is get out there and earn them.
