Hidden Traits Sims 3
Jun 22, 2018 - Don't like the traits that your child has? Want to learn other traits that are hidden? The only way to get them is by having kids in the game.
- Guess I could try to mod some of these traits into Sims 3, though. I wonder if they kept the true hidden traits like pyromaniac.
- Open the Cheat-Console with ctl-shift-c. Type testingcheatsenabled true in the bar at the upper side. Click on the Sim while holding down the SHIFT-Key. There should be an option Add traits. Click on it to change the traits. Open the Cheat-console with ctl-shift-c. Type testingcheatsenabled false in the bar at the upper side.
Howdy peeps! :v: Alex's with you again with a new mod showcase. Yea, that's what I'm going to do for now. Mods and lots showcases. Maybe even worlds, and when I'll be able, challenges and custom content. Back to the topic...do you want vampires in Sims 3 without needing Late Night or Supernatural? Well I found a way. On modthesims.com, treeag created a mod which unlocks all the hidden traits, usually held by NPCs. Here's a small list.
:musical_score: Never makes messes-maid/butler
:musical_score: Rocker-..pretty obviously
:musical_score: Can Apprehend burglars- cops
:musical_score: Unicorn (for horses)
Sims 3 Hidden Traits Cheat
:musical_score: Culture traits which require WA
:musical_score: Mummy which require WA
:musical_score: Immune to fire-firemen
:musical_score: Pyromaniac (you can turn any fruit into flame fruits)
:musical_score: Vampires
Hidden Traits Mod Sims 4
There are more, but I'm letting you discover that. Well, if you add the vampire trait, here's what happens.
Pros:
:full_moon_with_face: The have effect on stranger sims as they get the 'Hunted' moodlet
:sun_with_face: They have the typical skin tone and when they reproduce there's a chance their offspring will be a vampire, the classical 50/50
:full_moon_with_face: They learn skills faster during the night
:sun_with_face: The stats are purple as they should be.
:full_moon_with_face: Your sim will have the typical red color in the relationship panel
:sun_with_face: You can drink plasma
:full_moon_with_face: You can test how to be a vampire
Cons:
:new_moon_with_face: Other features are disabled, as neither Supernatural or Late Night are installed, so no plasma juice, boxes, fruits
:new_moon: Other vampires won't be spawned...or maybe some random townies, as the game chooses the traits randomly. There will may be a possible to meet another vampire
:new_moon_with_face: As it's a supernatural/late night trait, the trait disappears after saving and exiting the game, so you'll have to add it again and wait to make effect.
Well, it's not as bad. I mean..you can test if you like being a vampire sim or not, right? Well, I'll be back with another supernatural mod soon. Like and comment, I like getting featured :3

- edited January 2013I'd like to know the answer to this one too. I don't have any mods so hidden traits are hidden for me.
I found it interesting recently though when one of my sims born in the game had a few ordinary traits but she went after any male sim that she laid her eyes on as if she were a real preditor on the look out for men. Her mother was flirty and a heartbreaker and great kisser so I assumed she must have inherited something from her mother and it was hidden except for her behaviour. She didn't need any prompting from me.
I also had a sim who could sneak into buildings once. She was born in game too. I whish I could remember which game as she was useful for adventures when I had to get a sim into a house and no one was home thereby making it difficult to complete the adventure.

That's interesting. I've never noticed the hidden traits being listed at their birth. Not that I often have births in my games but when I do there tends to be a lot of them. Does the mother have to be in hospital for the birth for the hidden traits to be listed?

- edited January 2013With MasterController, click on the sim and choose NRaas -> MasterController -> Advanced -> Traits. Up will pop a panel with all of the traits for the Sim. The hidden traits will have an 'H' next to them. The displayable traits will say 'has' next to them. Cancel out if you don't want to change them.0

The OP already stated they know how to do it with MC.
I have not heard of any cheats that do this. There may be other mods that show them but I haven't seen them myself.0 - edited January 2013^ ^
I read the OP's post and know what she said. I explained how it could be done with MC for everyone to know. Thanks!0 - edited January 2013With the baby I had born yesterday it told what their hidden trait was at their birth. For premade Sims I have no idea. Oh I already answered before reading this. Sorry.:) - edited January 2013This is a bit annoying there a lots of hidden traits and hidden skill levels in the Sims 3. As you know the club dancing, fooseball, Show Time Professional careers. super Natural Magician, Werewolves, their all skill levels are hidden and have no idea to check my sims hidden skill levels as well. We can see them ONLY using MODS or Hacks.
- edited January 2013Personally, I think those hidden skills where you gain abilities as you level up shouldn't be hidden. I use a mod to show me the hidden skills in my skill tab/journal so I don't have to wonder.

There are the hidden traits (that can be seen using Mastercontroller) but sometimes I have noticed that when I place a sims I have created previously and are in a household into a new game and then I use CAS on them to change their traits a well as other things they will sometimes display characteristics of their previous traits.
So for example I had a sim with neat, flirty, neurotic, perfectionist, snob but when I used her by placing the household in a new game and then change her traits using CAS cheat she would still clean up automatically, flirt like crazy, make beds, admire herself in the mirror and look out windows. She would not have option that some of her former traits would normally give, such as freak out, clean house, etc but some of her autonomous actions would be like she still had that previous trait.
But these old traits don't show up using Mastercontroller. I've been experimenting with this and it only seems to work some of the time so not sure how it all works.
